Safety checklist for felling a tree


Felling a tree by the chainsaw supplier help is probably one of the most dangerous jobs to do. Since there are such high risks associated with chopping down a tree therefore, it is highly advisable to go through proper training and consultation before performing this task.

Some of the safety checks prior performing this job are listed below:-

  5. The fuel checks should be done as there must be sufficient fuel in the chainsaw for the whole job.
  6. Never use the chainsaw supplier above waist height.
  7. The operator should be in proper protective gear.
  8. Ensuring that there is always an emergency safety exit path available for the user as to scamper away from the site to avoid any mishaps.
  9. The condition of the tree should also be studied thoroughly as old trees are more difficult to cut than the young trees.
  10. The moments before the fall, do remember to reach a safe place.
